The Challenge

When the campaign launched, there were few digital assets and a small list of personal contacts. Momentum Campaigns was tasked with building a large operation that would sustain fundraising through the primary and general election.

How do you build a digital fundraising program essentially from scratch that is not only immediately self-sustaining, but generates enough fundraising to help the campaign win an ultra-competitive primary?

Our Approach

Through the use of Monica’s unique voice and strong biographical points, forge a relationship with the candidate’s list and create an extremely active email program with a vigorous small donor base.

Monica Tranel’s congressional campaign launched in July of 2021. We worked in tandem with the campaign’s team, building on their strong message to generate excitement within the email list and convert donors.

Momentum Campaigns was able to grow their list through a combination of strategic organic and paid acquisition, soaring past 100% return on investment before the primary election and continuing to expand through the general election.

The Final Result

Monica Tranel decisively won her primary election, boosted by the digital fundraising program which helped fund ads run throughout the district before the primary.

By maintaining list health throughout the election cycle, the campaign was able to move into the general election without a hitch – digital fundraising remained a dependable avenue of fundraising for the campaign as a whole.
